Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("Client," "you") and AuthorityLayer LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company ("AuthorityLayer," "we," "us," "our"), governing your purchase and use of the LinkedIn Profile System through www.authoritylayer.com (the "Marketing Site") and app.authoritylayer.com (the "Client Workspace").

By completing a purchase through Stripe Checkout, or by accessing the Client Workspace, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase the service or access the Client Workspace.

Summary

  • We currently offer one service, the LinkedIn Profile System, for a one-time payment. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.
  • After you pay, we email you a secure link to log in. You never need a password.
  • We typically deliver your new profile within 48 hours of getting your info, plus two rounds of free revisions within 14 days.
  • Payments are final once your order starts, but the revisions are there to make sure you're happy with the result.
  • We never ask for your LinkedIn password. You stay in full control of your own account.

1. Scope of the LinkedIn Profile System

AuthorityLayer currently offers a single service: the LinkedIn Profile System. It is a structured, human-led production service in which our internal team transforms your existing LinkedIn profile into a professionally written and designed profile.

As of the Effective Date, the LinkedIn Profile System includes:

  • Profile Photo Review
  • One Custom LinkedIn Banner
  • Headline Rewrite
  • About Section Rewrite
  • Experience Section Rewrite
  • One Custom Featured Card
  • Complete Profile delivery, bringing every element together into one consistent, cohesive presentation

The LinkedIn Profile System is a one-time payment engagement. It is not a subscription and does not automatically renew or recur.

2. Eligibility

To purchase the LinkedIn Profile System, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

3. Orders and Payments

The LinkedIn Profile System is offered for the price displayed on the Marketing Site at the time of purchase, billed as a single one-time payment. The price displayed on the Marketing Site at the time of purchase governs your order; AuthorityLayer may change pricing for future orders at any time, but a change will never retroactively apply to an order you've already completed.

An order is placed, and payment is considered made, only once Stripe confirms successful payment. AuthorityLayer has no obligation to begin work, and no commitment is created on AuthorityLayer's part, until payment is confirmed as described in Section 4.

4. Stripe Checkout

All payments are processed through Stripe Checkout, a third-party payment processor. AuthorityLayer does not collect or store your full payment card details. That information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.

Your order is set up automatically only after Stripe confirms that your payment has gone through. Simply landing on a confirmation page after checkout does not, by itself, confirm your order; only a verified payment from Stripe does. If a technical issue ever causes the same payment confirmation to be received more than once, our systems are designed to prevent duplicate charges or duplicate orders from being created.

Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a secure, passwordless "magic link" by email to access your Client Workspace at app.authoritylayer.com. This email is sent only after your order has been fully and successfully set up on our end. You should not expect workspace access before this email arrives.

5. Delivery Timeframe

Following your purchase, you will complete Service Intake in the Client Workspace, a short onboarding step where you provide the information our production team needs (such as your current profile content and relevant business/professional details).

AuthorityLayer targets delivery of your completed LinkedIn Profile System deliverables within 48 hours of completing Service Intake. This is a target, not a guaranteed deadline: actual delivery time can be affected by factors such as the completeness of the information you provide, response time to any clarifying questions, and order volume. All completed work is reviewed internally before it becomes visible to you in the Client Workspace, where you can compare your Current Profile and your Optimized Profile side by side.

6. Revision Policy

Once your completed profile is published to your Client Workspace, a 14-day revision window opens automatically. Within that window, you are entitled to up to 2 included rounds of revisions, with one active revision in progress at a time.

Revision requests submitted after the 14-day window has closed, or beyond the 2 included rounds, are treated as new, separately billable work at AuthorityLayer's then-current rates, and are not guaranteed to be available or to fit within the original delivery process.

7. Client Responsibilities

To receive the LinkedIn Profile System, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during Service Intake and any related communications with AuthorityLayer.
  • Review delivered work promptly and submit any revision requests within the 14-day revision window.
  • Retain sole control of your own LinkedIn account. AuthorityLayer does not request, require, or use your LinkedIn login credentials as part of the standard service; our team works from the content and assets you provide, and applying the finished materials to your live LinkedIn profile is your responsibility (or, where applicable, an explicitly agreed arrangement between you and AuthorityLayer).
  • Respond to reasonable requests for clarification in a timely manner, since delivery and revision timeframes depend on timely information from you.

8. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, AuthorityLayer grants you a perpetual, worldwide, exclusive license to use the specific content and visual assets created for you, including your rewritten headline, About section, and Experience section, along with your custom LinkedIn banner and Featured Card (collectively, the "Deliverables"), on your LinkedIn profile and in your own professional and marketing materials. You are free to use, edit, and republish your Deliverables however you like.

AuthorityLayer retains ownership of the underlying production methods, design templates, and internal processes used to create your Deliverables. Nothing in this section transfers ownership of AuthorityLayer's internal tools, templates, or production processes to you, and AuthorityLayer will not reuse your specific Deliverables for any other client.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Client Workspace or the LinkedIn Profile System to:

  • Violate any applicable law or LinkedIn's own terms of service.
  • Submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
  • Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Client Workspace, Marketing Site, or any underlying systems.
  • Share your magic link or workspace access with anyone not authorized to use your Account.

AuthorityLayer may suspend or terminate access to the Client Workspace for violations of this section.

10. Refund Policy

All sales are final. Because the LinkedIn Profile System is custom, done-for-you work performed specifically for you, AuthorityLayer does not offer refunds once production has begun.

The 14-day, 2-round revision window described in Section 6 is the intended mechanism for addressing dissatisfaction with delivered work. If you have concerns about your order, contact us using the information in Section 17 and we will work with you in good faith within the scope of the included revisions.

11. Disclaimers

The LinkedIn Profile System is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. AuthorityLayer makes no guarantee regarding specific outcomes from your updated LinkedIn profile, including but not limited to job offers, follower or connection growth, profile views, engagement, or business results. Results depend on many factors outside AuthorityLayer's control, including your industry, network, and how you use your profile going forward.

AuthorityLayer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. "LinkedIn" is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation.

AuthorityLayer does not guarantee compatibility with future changes made by LinkedIn to its platform, features, policies, or user interface.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuthorityLayer's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the LinkedIn Profile System is limited to the amount you actually paid to AuthorityLayer for the order giving rise to the claim.

AuthorityLayer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, arising from your use of the LinkedIn Profile System or Client Workspace, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Privacy Reference

Our collection, use, and handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Suspension and Termination

AuthorityLayer may suspend or terminate access to the Client Workspace if a client:

  • materially violates these Terms,
  • engages in fraudulent activity,
  • misuses the service,
  • attempts unauthorized access,
  • or creates legal or security risks for AuthorityLayer.

Termination of workspace access does not affect obligations that survive under these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Minnesota.

16. Changes to the Terms

AuthorityLayer may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the LinkedIn Profile System or our business. The "Effective Date" at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page; continued use of the Client Workspace after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
